Pettigrew Tea Rooms

Over the last couple of years the charming Pettigrew Tea Rooms has built a formidable reputation for their home-baked cakes and afternoon teas. However, their equally stonking breakfasts should be just as famous. This vegetarian cooked breakfast is served with Glamorgan sausages, one of Wales’ national dishes, made from Caerphilly cheese and leeks. Poached eggs, a laver bread (seaweed) scone, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and runny poached eggs complete this substantial dish. A post-breakfast stroll around Bute Park is a convenient way to work off a pound or two.
