Lokalbahnhof
Brunch

Set inside a historic train station, Lokalbahnhof is the go-to place for brunch. You will find anything you could wish for: salty and sweet toppings, croissants, bread and bacon; you can even make your own waffles. If you want a quiet place for Sunday brunch, avoid it, because parents love to bring their children. But on other days of the week, Lokalbahnhof has a great mix of food, from regional dishes like schnitzel, handkäse, maultashen (pasta stuffed with minced meat, smoked meat, spinach, bread crumbs, onions and various herbs and spices), classic burgers and salads. For a real classic dish, order the Boiled Eggs and Potatoes with Green Sauce. A typical warm-weather dish, Frankfurt’s famous green sauce is made with eggs, oil, vinegar and seven green herbs: borage, sorrel, watercress and chervil, chives, parsley and salad burnet. Their burger is also good, but choose the fried potatoes instead of French fries. For a great dessert, order the kaiserschmarrn (a fluffy shredded pancake) Note: You must order it 20 minutes in advance.
