Snapchat Stories: Shake Shack X Sat Bains

By ExtremeFoodies on October 20th, 2015

Just in case you missed it, we made our way down to Shake Shack in London's Covent Garden last week to check out a one-day-only collaboration between the beloved burger joint and chef Sat Bains of Restaurant Sat Bains, the Two Star Michelin restaurant in Nottingham, England.

The limited edition 'Major Oak Burger', named after the famous tree in Sherwood Forest, featured 'Shake Shack’s custom-blend Aberdeen Angus beef patty, topped with fresh shallots, a slice of creamy blue Beauvale cheese from Nottinghamshire’s Cropwell Bishop Creamery and a touch of pine from the needles of local coniferous trees. Bains also created a special forest-inspired ketchup made of seasonal “Penny Bun” mushrooms, as well as a smoked mayo with a hint of charcoal from Sherwood Forest’s red oaks. Read more about the burger here.

Only 500 of these bad boys were served up, and we were lucky enough to sample two of them. Here's a look at our Snapchat on the day. Oh, and we're off to New York soon to eat some more burgers, so follow us on Snapchat to see what we're doing by scanning the image below.
