Maui suffers from surprisingly challenging dining options considering the rich seafood, fresh produce and rich Hawaiian Regional recipe traditions from the famous "12 chefs".

One issue is that many have sold their franchises or closed their original locations and indeed no longer are in the kitchen. Another challenge is other venues like Merriman's cater to 100's of diner/tourists each night.
