Adana
Honey Cake

Named after a city in southern Turkey, this popular Middle Eastern restaurant is set in Glendale, a center of the Armenian diaspora and home to one of the world’s largest Armenian populations outside Armenia. Adana is popular for its spicy grilled kebabs, intriguing salads and dishes of beans, rice and other grains. Honey cake isn’t even listed on Edward Khechemyan’s menu, which spans the Middle East, but you won’t want to miss this amazing rhombus. He crafts the cake from egg, flour, honey, cream, baking soda, and little else, and alternates honey cream and cake nine layers tall.
