The Komenkul family’s restaurant has been around for over four decades, making Rodded one of L.A.’s oldest Thai restaurants. Ham Hock with Mint Leaves features pork leg stewed in black soy sauce and chilis, with caramelized skin and a bright burst of mint. Be sure to request a fried egg, which is cooked at high heat in oil, yielding puffy edges.
