Sud Yod (Boat Noodle Alley)
Boat noodles were originally served from boats that floated on Bangkok’s extensive canals. And Boat Noodle Alley stays true to the tradition of serving small, bite-sized bowls – a practice that began so the noodles wouldn’t spill on the choppy waters. Sud Yod take their broth seriously. It’s dark, thick and rich, and each bowl is well-seasoned with chilies and spices. The pork and slice of liver are blanched to remain moist and juicy. And the wonderful broth elevates these noodles to a dish of beauty. From Victory Monument Station, exit toward the monument and walk the skywalk until you reach Fashion Mall. Go down the steps and walk north through the van station and market. Cross the small van lane and bridge to reach Boat Noodle Alley. Sud Yod is on the far right.
