The Capampangan word for "friend" and "getting together," the restaurant Abé is also dedicated to the memory of artist-writer, gourmet and bon vivant E. Aguilar "Abe" Cruz, father of the late Larry Cruz. The restaurant serves traditional Filipino food, mostly Kapampangan cuisine, and gourmet dishes inspired by Abe's travels around the world. The must-have dish at Abé is the Lamb Adobo. This simple preparation of lamb in onion, garlic and vinegar is the country’s most popular and unofficial national dish.
