Casa Mazal
Named with the Hebrew word for good fortune, Casa Mazal is set in the heart of Juderia, the old Jewish quarter, and offers a rare opportunity to sample traditional Sephardi cuisine along with local traditional favorites. Romance is on the menu at this little restaurant, where violinists play Sephardic music on the patio. It also serves such options as berenjena timbal (eggplant and tomato pie), cordero especiado (spiced lamb) and pollo a la miel (chicken with honey, dates and raisins). Wash it down with a bottle of kosher wine, and for dessert consider the rose mousse or ginger ice cream.
