Casa Roberto
Roberto’s is a locally renowned restaurant specializing in arroces en paella – traditional Valencian rice dishes cooked in a paella pan. The brief menu offers several choices on any given day: “negro” is made with deep-black squid ink sauce and served with a dollop of aioli. Golden arroz a banda is the queen of paellas – it is made with a complex fish stock and is deceptively rich. And of course, always on offer is the traditional paella Valenciana. Starters include pimientos piquillos stuffed with bacalao – conserved sweet peppers with salt cod, or, when in season, local wild mushrooms.
