TACOS
Tostada Loca @ Mariscos German Taco Truck
Long before food trucks became a trend, taco trucks like Mariscos German were serving up delicious Mexican food in San Diego. There are many that exist, almost all starting their name with "Mariscos," but Mariscos German is arguably the best. The truck is parked faithfully next to the same liquor store every day and there's no need to hunt them down or follow them on social media to figure out where they will be next. Nearly everything on the menu is affordable and tasty. if you're a seafood lover, definitely go for the Tostada Loca, which seems to contain just about every seafood imaginable. Make sure not to pass up on the complimentary consomme, a concentrated and hearty broth, while you wait for your food.

BBQ
Brisket @ Wood Shop BBQ
Two guys out of the South got together over some beers one day and decided to do something about the desperate barbecue situation in Seattle. The result is smoke-ring laden, flavor-heavy, and worth running out and finding their truck right now. The menu is small, concise, and filled only with smoked-meats--and that's all that you'll need.

SANDWICH
Lomo Saltado Sandwich @ Don Lucho's Food Cart
It's nothing but a cart that gets dragged into breweries and outside bottle shops, but it's the place to find one of the city's best sandwiches. Lomo saltado is a classic Peruvian steak dish, but this truck reimagines it. The whole hot mess is held together on soft bread, which is happy to absorb the flavor dripping from the freshly-grilled meat. Red onions and tomatoes brighten things up, but the real heat comes from your choice of sauces: mild aji amarillo or the fiery rocoto.

This popular food truck, which also recently opened two storefronts, creates some of the best grilled cheese sandwiches you've ever tasted. Not to be missed is the Puerto Nuevo Style Lobster. BURGER
Short rib burger @ North End Grill
It's hard to not sing the praises of Danny Meyer, a man who knows burgers - or certainly knows the people to hire to make incredible burgers for him! At North End Grill, the lunch-only burger is comprised of a house blend of short rib, cooked to a medium rare that oozes delicious juices when you bite into it, topped with caramelized onions AND fried onions, all on a squishy brioche bun spread with spicy aioli. The result is not overpowered by onions as one might think, but instead beautifully married in a mix of textures and a slight kick of heat at the end. Lettuce and tomato is served alongside, but it hardly needs either as on its own, it's a thing of beauty. And if you were at all worried about this not being rich enough, those are duck fat fries riding shotgun.

STEAK
Steak sandwich @ Market St
Just a stones throw away from the Adelaide Central is Market St off Gouger Street on... you guessed it, Market Street—now that's a lot of 'market' and 'street' in the one sentence—a one stop shop for your bakery and deli needs with an in house cafe so you can do your shopping and grab a coffee and bite to eat all at the same time! They bake all their breads on site and have a dessert cabinet that will make all dessert lovers weak at the knees once their eyes catch a glimpse of all the pretty and delicious sweet inventions on offer. Their savoury options are delightful, especially their monster steak sandwich with marinated eye fillet, mushroom omelette, caramelised onion, rocket and tomato jam. A delicious and gourmet sandwich, so big that a steak knife was stabbed through the centre, just to make sure the burger didn't fall apart as it made its way from the kitchen. It came complete with crispy kipfler frites to complete the decadent lunch meal. A lovely little spot for an affordable feed; it's also a great and quality spot for coffee.

BBQ
USDA Prime Beef Rib @ Smokestak
Explore London’s heaving street food scene and you’ll find no shortage of meat on offer. Smokestak’s grill maestro David Carter knows this is all the more reason to do it well. How does he go about it? By using top-quality ingredients and keeping it simple. The USDA prime beef rib is so wonderfully seasoned it is as immensely enjoyable without sauce as it is with. Bite into the peppery coating to be greeted by tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat with a tremendous depth of flavor. It’s no wonder Smokestak are leading the way when it comes to London’s street meats.

SEAFOOD
Fresh Crab  @ Crabs Are Coming
Nestled just behind Bolshaya Nikitskaya on the narrow alleyway of Kalashniy Pereulok, Crabs are Coming focuses entirely on dishes made from Far Eastern crab. While simple, the menu offers small plates, soups, noodle and grain dishes and a good range of fresh lemonades and local beers. Among my favorites is the Crab Rangoon. I’m not alone in enjoying them. They are often sold out early in the evening. Seating is limited in this bijou eatery, and the best time to be assured a seat is in the quieter period of 2 to 6 p.m. As always with Moscow, the downside is the service, which can be indifferent to downright surly. Still, the fresh crab and consistently good quality of the tried-and-true menu items make that a gauntlet worth running.
