Norman's at the Ritz

Norman’s is the product of legendary Chef Norman Van Aken, who is also known as the “founding father of New World Cuisine,” a fusion of Latin, Caribbean, Asian, African, and American flavors, and a winner of the prestigious James Beard Award for “Best Chef in the Southeast” in 1997. Norman’s at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando is the sister restaurant to the Norman’s in Coral Gables, Florida. Start off with some small-plate tapas, like the fried green tomatoes with escabeche-spiced mayo and queso fresco, or Key West shrimp ceviche with a touch of Patron tequila, salsa, and avocado. For an entree, try some of Norman’s famous pan-cooked fillet of yellowtail snapper with asparagus spears, citrus butter sauce, and garlicky mashed potatoes, or the pork Havana with smoky plantain crema, mole, black bean corn salsa, and golden grits.
