A Senagalese baker in Montmartre has won a competition for the best baguette in France. This same baker makes the best croissant in Paris. The bottom is crunchy and buttery while the middle is soft and fluffy and the top is light and flaky. Stuffing the croissant into the baguette as a sandwich is not out of the question.
