Brunel’s Buttery is a Bristol institution. Serving up hearty, traditional British breakfasts since 1980, it has become somewhat of a morning hangover-cure legend. Offering a menu featuring tasty items such as a steaming bacon, sausage and egg sandwich on soft white bread, to their flakey-pastry pies and warm pasties, sweet treats and hot teas. It provides everything one would want on a chilly Bristolian morning, plus the views of the river are magnificent.

The queues get rather large at the weekend, so either get in line or turn up a bit earlier so as to get a table with a great view and a spot for your mug of coffee.
