Sharply dressed Mustapha is a legend among the food stalls. Located in the so called Mechoui Alley behind The Alhambra restaurant in Jemaa el-Fnaa is his unmissable stand adorned with sheep’s heads and ‘Tangia’ crock pots. The meat-pot meals are cooked in the ashes of the coals from the local bathhouse. Most come during the day for the succulent Mechoui but the beef pots are served all day and are every bit as delicious. The juices that pool at the bottom of the bowl are a treat with the local bread. The video on file is exceptional.
