Longueville House
Leg of Lamb

The fire is roaring at Longueville House, which operates in a Georgian Heritage Mansion set on 500 beautiful acres. Not just to warm the building, its hosts and guests, the hearth is ablaze to cook your Sunday lunch. Don't worry. That big haunch of locally bred lamb, spit roasted over the open fire, will be ready in time. The leg of Longueville lamb arrives with a sausage of braised shoulder and garden thyme sauce. Diners have the option of helping it down with the house-made cider and maybe a glass of apple brandy afterward. Both are distilled right on the property.
