The Southern Star is a traditional meat-and-three with daily chalkboard specials and a fantastic static menu. As much as I’ve loved everything I’ve ever ordered there, these days I can’t seem to bring myself to order anything besides the Star Special: a sandwich made with their house pimento cheese on wheat bread and served with their Star salad-mixed greens with candied pecans, blue cheese, and house vinaigrette, along with your choice of side.
