In San Miguel, there are more neighborhood juice stands than taco carts. Fresh squeezed juice is a time-honored morning indulgence to which I’ve recently converted. This pocket-sized tienda has a single table set across the entrance that’s covered with a bright colored, Mexican floral tablecloth. The designs are changed from time to time to see if you’re paying attention. The shelves inside are spilling over with an assortment of delicious, in-season mandarins, oranges, beets, mangos, pineapples and plump, pink grapefruits.
