The Chairman is a prestigious Cantonese restaurant located in Central, Hong Kong. Owned by chef-owner Danny Yip, the restaurant opened in 2009 and was ranked at the top of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2021. The Chairman is renowned for its refined interpretations of traditional Cantonese dishes using locally sourced ingredients. After settling at its new location in 2022, Chairman is now a tasting menu-only restaurant consisting of many Chairman classic dishes while allowing diners to select the main dishes or even add extra courses. One of the signature items not to miss is the steamed fresh flower crab with aged Shaoxing wine and chicken fat. The freshness of the crab combined with the fragrance of aged Chinese rice wine truly captures the essence of Cantonese cuisine at its best.
