Mia's Tex-Mex Restaurant

Mia’s, part of the Who’s Who of Dallas Tex-Mex, opened its doors in 1981. It soared to fame when "Butch" Enriquez invented the brisket taco (filled with Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onions and poblano peppers and then blanketed in rich brisket gravy). Mia is, of course, known as Mama Mia, and the restaurant’s motto is, “If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” To become happy, consider trying the sour cream enchiladas. Tender, shredded chicken is blanked by a perfectly cooked corn tortilla and then draped in a creamy, heavenly sauce with a healthy dose of chicken stock that mellows the tangy sour cream.
