Mi Vaquita Artesana
Mi Vaquita Artesana is a relaxing place, surrounded by lemon trees in a neighborhood full of small family vegetable gardens. The restaurant is known for its bollitos, rolls made with corn flour. Some are mixed with pork chicharron. Others are filled with ají dulce, packed in corn leaves and boiled in salted water. At Mi Vaquita, they are sliced and served with fresh Guayanés cheese and ají dulce jelly. The combination of salty chicharron chunks, sweet smoky ají dulce and melt-in-your-mouth crust keeps customers coming back for more. Also don’t miss the cachapas de hojas. Made with corn dough, folded in a corn leaf and boiled in salt water for a few minutes, the dish comes with two homemade soft cachapas, fresh cream, Guayanés white cheese and a unique garnish of chives and ají dulce.
