Make sure to stop at Adrian Tropical in the Malecón to enjoy an authentic creole meal by the ocean. Order Mofongo, a dish made out of smashed green plantain and seasoned with garlic and pork crackling. This hearty dish is served in a wooden mortar with a light broth on the side that can be used to moisten the mash. Wash it down with a "ceniza", what locals call a beer ashy from the freezer.
