Żurek z jajkiem/ Sour Rye Soup with Egg

A delicious Polish Sour Rye meal soup. The Zur (zhoor) or 'sourness' from the rye meal is created by fermenting the rye meal for a few days. Chopped vegetables and potatoes make up the rest of the soup. Served with a hard-boiled farm egg. Served traditionally before the 'obiad' or main course.
