The tartlets at Tarte & Törtchen have such fabulous names as Passion Citron, Bermuda Triangle, Cocoloco and Wonderland. These tiny desserts, presented on little porcelain platforms, are just as delicious as their names. Tarte & Törtchen also offers croissants with various fillings, wedding and birthday cakes. I chose the fruity apple tartlet Jacques Label, the creamy espresso-nut tartlet Midnight, the slightly sour Bermuda Triangle and a crispy macaroon with a marzipan nougat core. The apple tartlet tastes like a French grandmother made it, while the Midnight tartlet highlights a caramelized nut core, yummy espresso cream and white chocolate topping. You can buy a small version of each tartlet if you want to try more than one.
