Casa Pepe De La Juderia
Pepe opened his business in 1929 in the heart of the Jewish quarter and quickly earned a reputation for great Cordoba dining. Casa Pepe serves excellent traditional Spanish cuisine on its roof-top terrace and throughout its labyrinth of dining rooms. An oasis from the tourists constantly walking by, visitors are greeted by a gorgeous Andalusian patio with lots of colorful plants. Just as inviting is its menu. Enjoy a complimentary glass of Montilla before launching into the house specials, including Cordoban oxtails or venison fillets. Fried Aubergine with Honey is a traditional dish in Cordoba and is either breaded or battered, sliced in rounds or sticks and served with cane sugar honey or salmorejo. At Pepe’s, this culinary staple is beer battered and fried, served crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just a hint of sweet honey. One unforgettable mouthful will send you straight to eggplant heaven.
