Abasto

For a refreshing, light meal, head to Abasto in Usaquén. Chef Luz Beatriz Vélez has a special connection with local famers, and the ingredients here are organic, artisan and farm-fresh. The international influences on the menu are a testimony to her travels, so you can expect Mexican, Vietnamese and Spanish touches to the recipes.
Somewhere between a coffee house and a restaurant, Abasto exudes a casual, farmhouse feel. Downstairs, there’s a comfortable fireplace with tables, and at the back there’s a long table that can seat a crowd and shelves packed with artisan products. The upstairs balcony has spacious rustic wooden tables or deep couches to sink into and leisurely sip a coffee.
