Casa San Isidro is not convenient to get to – in fact, it’s quite out of the way, on the top of a mountain, Mt. Monserrate. But that is where its charm begins. Thankfully, a cable car goes right to the top of the mountain, where there’s a sanctuary, gardens, a souvenir area and two restaurants.
For a special lunch or dinner, stop by Casa San Isidro, a charming colonial house that for more than 30 years has been serving French meals with some Latin twists thrown in. You can eat inside or on the balcony with a commanding view of Bogotá.
