Here, the fish is boldly flavorful – it is deep fried in lard (don’t tell your vegetarian friends) and there is an ample variety of salsas. Shrimp tacos, prepared in the same manner, tend to get lost in translation, i.e. it’s hard to discern any real “shrimp-ness”; stick to fish.
