Mi Díos Es Real
Batidos de frutas

What could be better on a sultry afternoon than a freshly made tropical fruit shake? Seasonal fruits - fragrant bananas, perfumed guavas, rosy mameys, papaya, or pineapple - are blended with ice, milk and a little sugar, if necessary. Batidos are emblematic of Cuban cuisine, but not usually found on menus at restaurants - they’re a street food, sold from small open ‘holes-in-the-wall’. The best are clustered around Calle Zanja, heart of Havana’s Chinatown (skip the ersatz Chinese food, however).
