Pescado Frito del Chorrillo

Cecilia Smith operates a food stall outside her home in the El Chorrillo neighborhood, where she serves the most famous fried fish in the city. A whole fish is marinated afro-Caribbean style with onions, garlic, cumin, curry and vinegar, lightly floured, deep fried and served whole with coconut rice, plantains and topped with a spicy tomato sauce and mixed seafood.
