La Pulperia

Picture an entire cow on a grill, I mean sweetbread, kidneys, sausages, guts, all sorts of meat cuts and more, so much more. Keeping this in mind, you will have an accurate image of what the word “asado” (barbecue) represents in Uruguay. However, not every “parrillada” (stake house) serves good meat. In Montevideo, my favorite one is “La Parrilla”, a small family own place in Punta Carretas neighborhood.
