Vino de la Ruta’s outdoor restaurant is located in the center of town in El Porvenir and specializes in Argentinian style barbecue, complete with house-made green and red chimichurri sauces. Before the main course of parrillada (mixed grill platter) or for vegetarians, the grilled Romaine salad is not to be missed. A head of greens are grilled just enough to give them a good char, and then topped with tomatoes, grilled bell peppers and Parmesan cheese. The salad is finished with creamy, slightly tangy house dressing. The restaurant is in a small shaded space with an outdoor grill and picnic tables located next to the wine shop.
