This charming spot, arguably the best restaurant in town, is run by a Mayan grandma who uncompromisingly prepares a range of Yucatecan specialties according to old family recipes. Puchero is a hearty meat and vegetable stew based on Spanish cocido; it’s served with the broth on the side. Tortillas are house-made, and the salsa’s fiery. A taco or two of cochinita pibil is also obligatory.
