Doña Emi

This little shop, in business for decades, sells such good tamales that they run out by 10 or 11 a.m. The dough, wrapped in corn husks and steamed, is light, porous but not dry, redolent of corn. Best are the verdes made with cheese or pork and green, lightly picante salsa.
