Founded in 1936 by Silvio "Rip" Gualandri, this Fried Chicken only tavern is legit. First you have to drive two hours from Chicago and then, on weekends, you must wait an hour. Despite all this the journey is worthy. There is no menu and you just need to decide between a quarter white or a quarter dark and then sit back and enjoy a very fine fried chicken.
