The Best Restaurants in CLEVELAND

Cleveland, set on the shores of Lake Erie, is the second largest city in Ohio. Landmarks include the I.M. Pei–designed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum. Cleveland's melting pot of immigrant groups and their various culinary traditions played an important role in defining the local cuisine. Examples can be found in neighborhoods such as Little Italy, Slavic Village and Tremont. Mainstays of Cleveland's cuisine include an abundance of Polish and Central European contributions, such as kielbasa, stuffed cabbage and pierogies. Cleveland has plenty of corned beef. Nationally renowned Slyman's Restaurant, which calls itself the "Home of the Biggest and Best Corned Beef," has won numerous accolades. In 2008, Esquire Magazine named it the best corned beef sandwich in America. Other famed sandwiches include the Cleveland original Polish Boy, a local favorite found at many BBQ and soul food restaurants. Famous local culinary figures include Chef Michael Symon, named "The Next Iron Chef" on the Food Network.
