Garlic Prawns

Chef Saipin and her husband, Bill, bought Lotus of Siam in 1999 and quickly turned it into the finest Thai restaurant in the world outside of Thailand. All of the chef specials are excellent, but the garlic prawns are beyond belief. The meat of the prawns is fried with garlic and black pepper (not breaded) and are served alongside the deep-fried shells that taste like garlic fried potato chips. Get your own plate, as sharing is out of the question.
