This neighborhood tavern features street food from all over the world. A prime example is this Georgian cheese-filled bread topped with an organic egg and butter. This “butter pizza” is a staple in the country of Georgia, where owners Rose Previte and her husband, “NPR Morning Edition” co-host David Greene, traveled when he was a foreign correspondent. The boat-shaped dough acts as a shallow bowl for the cheese, egg and enormous pat of butter mixed tableside. Tear off pieces of the pillowy crust to sop up the butter and yolk in the center.
