The Pot Luck Club

Celebrated chef Luke Dale-Roberts (he of Cape Town’s Test Kitchen on the World’s 50 Best Restaurant list) also runs the hard-to-get-in The Pot Luck Club. Located on the 5th floor, above a silo in the popular Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, the restaurant spans the entire top floor, serving panoramic views across Cape Town, and small plates of Asian-inspired bites. The space is understated but stylish, and the young wait staff are friendly but not pushy. Head chef Wesley Randles and team experiment and push the flavour boundaries here – but also expect the classics like Korean barbeque chicken and fish tacos. Sunday brunch, an enormous plated spread including a dreamy mini Arnold Bennett omelette, with the option of bottom-less bubbly, is the one meal you want to book – you’ll need up to three months advance notice though to nab a table here.
