Sophie Brissaud

Born in Paris, Sophie Brissaud is a food and wine writer, a journalist and a passionate traveller. Years ago, she stopped counting the culinary books she has written or co-written since about 1996, with or without chefs. She’s mostly interested in modest cuisines, folk traditions and local ingredients. Has been studying Chinese food and tea, and regularly travelling to China since 2004. Author of the TV documentary series Le bonheur est dans l’assiette (Happiness Is On the Plate) in 2012. Currently writes for Le Figaro Vin and produces most of the written content for the natural food and wine company She more or less regularly updates her website
