Mariana Kavroulaki is an experimental archaeologist –food historian who researches Greek historical recipes and recreates them with ancient or modern techniques for spectacular food events. Designer of interactive edible experiences that bring historical Greek gastronomy to life through synaesthesia, Mariana also explores the relationship between art and food. Her work takes many forms, including pop-up dinners, experiments, lectures and edible installations.

She is the founder and organizer of the biennial ‘Symposia of Greek Gastronomy’.
