Mahony's Po Boys
Peacemaker and Fried Chicken Liver Po’ Boy

Chef Ben Wicks creates “gourmet” po-boys in a house-turned-restaurant on Magazine Street. A casual spot, Mahony's features a popular dish dubbed “The Peacemaker,” a 12-inch po boy with plump, cornmeal battered and fried oysters, cheddar cheese and bacon on local Leidenheimer French bread. Crispy, succulent and oh-so Southern, this Fried Chicken Liver po’ boy is served with a tangy, slightly sweet slaw that regulars rave about. You might want to enjoy it with a side of their amazing, super-thin onion rings or hand-cut cheese fries, just for good measure.
